I grew up in Hamilton ON and always thought and dreamed in sound, rhythm, and melodies. I realized my passion for music while singing in church at age 3. I learned piano, and played clarinet in the church orchestra. From that point on, I was involved in choir, musicals, and song writing. I went to McMaster University to study music and art and was loving the opportunity to learn the mastery of the voice and sculpture. Sometimes I felt like I belonged in Vienna...singing Opera and sculpting busts out of clay.
I currently perform in soft seat theatres around Ontario singing in 50s and 60s shows, the Queens of Country as Patsy Cline and Dolly Parton, I also play bass in the Carpenters show, and the Folk show as Mary (Peter, Paul and Mary) as well as Joni Mitchell. I'm also do a Diamond Divas show which features Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston and Celine Dion. I write songs...the lyrics and produce my songs in my home studio. I love collaborating with other artists and experimenting with different genres of music.
A very exiting project is in the works and almost finished...BIRDLAND...my newest jazz album featuring Guido Basso, Drew Jureka, Clark Johnston, Chris Lamont and Bruce Tournay.
I find inspiration all around me. I try to make my music representative of myself and my generation. I love the places that most people don't give a second glance.
